What can the brain apprehend in a second or less? How many images are too many? Temporary Arrangements is an open-ended drawing practice, consisting of a growing pool of ink drawings on A5 card. They are interpretions of social media posts, memes, Youtube screen grabs, news footage, film stills, etc.
Attempting to interrupt the torrent and create some thinking space, I screenshot images that stand out and produce drawings from them. In this way, fleeting images can be ‘rescued’ and reincarnated as denials of the logic behind the algorithms.
